Riyadh Public Transport has announced the prices and details of its Annual Ticket and Semester Ticket for students, which will come into effect from January 1, 2026.
The move is part of efforts to enhance public transport services and provide easier, long-term commuting options for residents and students in the capital.
The Annual Ticket is available to all passengers and remains valid for one year from the date of activation.
It is offered in both digital and plastic formats, allowing passengers to choose the option that best suits their daily travel needs.
Commuters can purchase the Annual Ticket in either Regular Class or First Class.
The Regular Class Annual Ticket is priced at SAR 1,260, while the First Class Annual Ticket costs SAR 3,150.
Riyadh Public Transport recommends purchasing annual tickets through a registered account to ensure they can be saved and restored if lost.
The Semester Ticket is available to school and university students and is designed to cover one full academic semester.
It remains valid for four months from the activation date and is offered in Regular Class only.
The Semester Ticket is available in both digital and plastic formats and is priced at SAR 260.
Both ticket types can be accessed through the Darb app or used as a physical card for daily travel.
Riyadh Public Transport said the initiative aims to provide more flexible and convenient mobility options, encouraging passengers to rely on public transport for their daily journeys across the city.
