Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has introduced a new electronic service that allows employers to correct the translated name (English Name) on an employee’s Resident Identity (Iqama) through the Muqeem portal.
The service is available to establishments as part of the electronic services provided by Jawazat. Employers can also request the reprinting of the Iqama after the translated name has been corrected.
According to Jawazat, employers must first log in to the Muqeem portal and search for the resident using the Iqama number.
After opening the resident’s profile, select Passport Services and then choose the Translated Name Correction service to submit the request.
Jawazat said the service is subject to the approved terms and conditions.
The directorate also encouraged establishments to make use of its electronic services, which help simplify procedures and improve the efficiency of completing residency and passport-related transactions.
