How to Check Iqama Huroob Status in Saudi Arabia

Huroob is a term used in Saudi Arabia to indicate the status of expatriate workers who run away from their employer. When an employer files a runaway or absconding complaint against an employee, that person becomes an illegal resident. In this article, we explain in detail how you can easily check whether you are under Huroob status or not.

How to Check Huroob Status Online

You can check Huroob status in two ways. One is through the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD)’s MOL website and another through the Ministry of Interior’s Absher portal.

Cheking Iqama Huroob Status on the MOL website

One of the easiest ways to check your Iqama huroob status is through the MOL website. Here are the steps:

1. Go to the MOL website: https://mol.gov.sa/Services/Inquiry/NonSaudiEmpInquiry.aspx
2. Enter your Iqama number. (If you have no Iqama number, you can also check with border number, or passport number.)
3. Enter the image code and click the “Search” button (green button).
4. You will see your employment status at the bottom of the same page.
5. If your Iqama status is huroob, your employment status will be shown as متغيب عن العمل means “Absent from Work.” Otherwise, if your Iqama status is normal, your employment status will show as علي رأس العمل means “On the Duty.”

How to Check Huroob Status on the Absher Website

You can also find out whether you are in huroob status through the Absher portal. However, you must have an Absher account to use this method. Here are the steps:

1. Go to the Absher website: https://absher.sa
2. Select “Absher Individuals“
3. Go to Log in section of the Absher website and enter your username and password, then click the “Log in” button.

If you are under Huroob status, you will not be able to log in to your Absher account as it will be deactivated. If you are unable to log in with the correct user credentials, this may indicate that you are under Huroob status. You can then confirm it using the first method.
