Jawazat clarifies procedure to renew expired final exit visa

The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has clarified the procedure for renewing the final exit visa for workers after its expiry and the penalty prescribed for that.

Jawzat’s clarification came during its reply to a citizen’s question on how to renew his domestic worker’s final exit visa after the end of the validity period.

Jawazat replied that if a resident does not leave within 60-days after the final exit visa has been issued, an SR 1,000 fine will be imposed and by paying the penalty, the expired final exit visa can be cancelled and reissued. In order to complete the process, the residence permit (Iqama) must be valid, Jawazat added.
