Saudi Arabia allows shops to remain open during prayer times

Saudi Arabia now allows shops and commercial establishments to remain open during prayer times.

According to a circular issued by the Federation of Saudi Chambers on Thursday, commercial and economic activities can also continue throughout business hours, including prayer times.

According to the federation, this decision is part of the preventive measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus and ensure shoppers’ and customers’ health and safety.

The decision is aiming to avoid crowding and gatherings near shops during prayer times when they are closed.

The federation stated that the move aims to improve the shopping experience and raise the level of services provided to customers and clients.

The federation noted that the decision was made after consulting with the appropriate authorities.
