Saudi Traffic (Moroor) has called on drivers to strictly adhere to legal speed limits within residential neighborhoods, stressing that speeding is a major cause of accidents in these areas.
The authority warned that excessive speed poses a direct risk to residents and pedestrians, especially children and the elderly, within densely populated neighborhoods.
Drivers were urged to comply with traffic regulations inside residential areas and to follow all road signs and instructional boards.
Saudi Traffic also emphasized giving priority to pedestrians, particularly at intersections and designated crossing points, as this significantly helps reduce accidents.
Motorists were reminded to come to a complete stop at intersections before proceeding and to respect right-of-way rules at all times.
The authority called on all drivers to demonstrate awareness and responsibility while driving in residential neighborhoods to protect lives and property.
It noted that adherence to these instructions reflects a positive traffic culture and contributes to enhancing overall public safety.
Saudi Traffic confirmed that it will continue its awareness and enforcement efforts to reduce violations and ensure a safer traffic environment.
