The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) now allows GCC Citizens, Dependents of resident expatriates, and Visit Visa holders to register on the Absher platform.
Jawazat clarified that dependents of resident expatriates can register on the Absher platform using the resident identity number (Iqama number), while citizens of the GCC countries and Visit Visa holders can register using the border number.
The registration and activation of the Absher account can be done through Jawazat self-service machines, or Jawazat branches, or e-channels of Saudi banks that provide the service.
