Saudi Arabia now allows shops and commercial establishments to remain open during prayer times, local media reported.
Commercial and economic activities can also continue throughout business hours, including prayer times, according to a circular issued by the federation of Saudi chambers on Thursday.

The decision is aiming to avoid crowding and gatherings near shops during prayer times when they are closed.
