How to Open a Riyad Bank Account Online: Step by Step Guide

Riyad Bank is one of the largest financial institutions in Saudi Arabia. It was established in 1957 and it is the kingdom’s fourth-largest financial institution in terms of assets. You can now open an account with Riyad Bank online without visiting a branch.

In order to open a current account with Riyad Bank, the following requirements must be met:

Account Opening Steps

Visit the Riyad Bank website‘s current account page.

Click on “Apply Now

Enter your “Iqama number” on the account opening page.

Select “Yes” next to the question “Do you have an Absher account?

You will be taken to the national single sign-on portal (IAM), where you must enter your Absher username and password.

Enter the “OTP” received on your registered mobile number.

After you enter the OTP, the screen will display “Authentication Successful.”

The following page will require you to enter your personal information including.

  • Place of Birth
  • Marital Status
  • Number of Dependents
  • Educational Level

Click “Confirm.”

You’ll need to enter your employment information on the next page.

  • Employer Name
  • Employer Location
  • Employment Start Date
  • Occupation
  • Salary
  • Income Frequency 

Click “Confirm.”

On the following page, if your National Address is not pre-filled, enter it.

Select “Confirm.”

The next page will require you to enter your contact information.

  • Primary Number (format: 9665544000000)
  • Secondary phone number (format: 9665544000000)
  • Email Address

Click “Confirm.”

After successfully submitting your information, you will see a message that says “Congratulations, your Riyad Bank Account has been successfully created.” On the same screen, you can also view your account number.

Additionally, an SMS will be sent to you with your account number, username, and temporary password. You will be able to log in to Riyad Online or the RiyadMobile app and create a new password using this username and temporary password.

After you’ve opened your current account online, your mada card (ATM Card) will be delivered to your registered address within a few days.
