3 Ways to Update Your Mobile Number in Absher

Your mobile number is essential for logging into Absher, receiving OTPs, and accessing government services. If you change your phone number, you should update it as soon as possible.

There are three ways to update your registered Absher mobile number:

Method 1: Change Mobile Number Using the Absher App

Here are the steps to update your mobile number using the Absher app.

Steps

  1. Open the Absher app.
  2. Before logging in, tap Digital Identity Management.
  3. Select Change Mobile Number.
  4. Enter your Iqama/National ID number and Date of Birth.
  5. Enter your new mobile number and tap Change Mobile Number.
  6. Complete the biometric verification to confirm the change.

Once verified, your new mobile number will be linked to your Absher account.  

Method 2: Update Through the Nafath App

The Nafath app also supports updating the mobile number linked to your Digital Identity.

Steps

  1. Open the Nafath app.
  2. Open Digital Identity Account Management.
  3. Select Digital Identity Mobile Number Update.
  4. Enter your required details.
  5. Complete the biometric verification.
  6. Confirm the update.

The new number is usually reflected shortly after successful verification.  

Method 3: Use an Absher Self-Service Kiosk

If you cannot access the apps or prefer an in-person option, visit an Absher Self-Service Kiosk available at many:

  • Jawazat offices
  • Shopping malls
  • Airports
  • Government service centres

Steps

  1. Select your preferred language.
  2. Enter your Iqama or National ID number.
  3. Choose Update Mobile Number.
  4. Verify your identity using the fingerprint scanner.
  5. Enter your new mobile number.
  6. Enter the OTP sent to your new number.

The update is completed immediately after successful verification.

Important Notes

  • Your new number must be active and able to receive SMS verification codes.
  • Biometric verification is required when updating through the apps.
  • Updating your mobile number ensures uninterrupted access to Absher, Nafath, and other government services.
  • If you no longer have access to your registered number and cannot complete app verification, the Absher Self-Service Kiosk is usually the easiest alternative.
