Four-Day Holiday for 94th Saudi National Day Celebrations

Saudi Arabia will mark its 94th National Day on Monday, September 23, 2024, with an extended holiday for public and private sector employees. As National Day falls on a Monday, the break will begin on Friday, September 20. With the Kingdom’s Friday-Saturday weekend, many employees will enjoy an additional day off on Sunday, September 22, providing a long weekend for citizens and residents to take part in the celebrations and reflect on the Kingdom’s achievements.

The holiday aligns with labor regulations, ensuring employees across all sectors are granted a paid day off to commemorate the country’s unification. With the additional day off on Sunday, September 22, this extended break gives citizens and residents even more time to participate in nationwide festivities, celebrating the Kingdom’s progress and achievements. Students, as per the Ministry of Education’s academic calendar, will also have Sunday off for the occasion.

The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has unveiled this year’s National Day theme, “We Dream and We Achieve,” underscoring Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals and its major developmental strides in various sectors, including infrastructure, tourism, and innovation. The theme reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to turning its ambitious plans into reality, as it continues to position itself as a global leader in economic and social reforms.

As part of the celebrations, the GEA has planned a series of cultural events, fireworks displays, concerts, and exhibitions across the Kingdom’s cities. Riyadh, Jeddah, and other major cities are expected to be adorned with green and white decorations, showcasing national pride through parades and special performances.

The GEA also urged government agencies, private companies, and local businesses to embrace the official National Day identity, providing detailed guidelines on how to integrate the theme into marketing and public engagement efforts. The guidelines, available on the GEA’s official website, outline the use of logos, slogans, and promotional materials to ensure a unified and festive spirit throughout the Kingdom.

Over the years, Saudi Arabia has transformed into a modern nation, with rapid advancements in technology, education, and international relations, contributing to its growing influence on the global stage.

The 94th National Day promises to be a significant occasion, filled with joy, pride, and anticipation for the future, as the Kingdom continues to achieve its ambitious Vision 2030 goals.
