Saudi authorities have arrested 18 expatriates in the Eastern Province as part of efforts to combat prostitution and related offences.
According to an official statement, the Eastern Province Police, in coordination with the General Department for Community Security and Combating Human Trafficking, carried out the operation and arrested the suspects for allegedly engaging in prostitution.
Authorities said the individuals were detained and the necessary legal procedures were completed in accordance with the law.
The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution, which will continue the legal process.
Saudi authorities regularly conduct security campaigns across the Kingdom to combat crimes that threaten public safety and violate the country’s laws and regulations.
The announcement was made by the Ministry of Interior’s Public Security on 26 July 2026.
