How to Book an Appointment for Indian Passport Renewal

Follow these simple steps to book your appointment:

(1) Visit the VFS Global Website: Go to VFS Global’s appointment booking page and click on the “Book Now” button.

(2) Create an Account: If you don’t have an account, select “I don’t have an account” and provide your email address, password, and mobile number. Activate your account by clicking the link sent to your email.

(3) Login: Once your account is activated, login here.

(4) Start New Booking: Select “Start New Booking.”

(5) Appointment Details: Choose your nearest VFS centre, select passport as the appointment category, and Passport Service as the appointment sub-category. Click on “Continue.”

(6) Your Details: Enter your personal information such as Name, Gender, DOB, Nationality, Passport Number, and Expiry Date. Click on “Save.”

(7) Book Appointment: Select an available date and time slot from the calendar. Green indicates availability. Click on “Continue.”

(8) Additional Services: If you need any services like form filling, photocopying, or printing, select them and click on “Continue.”

(9) Review and Confirm: Review your details, tick the agreement boxes, and click on “Confirm” to book your appointment.

(10) Appointment Confirmation: After confirmation, download your appointment slip containing a QR code and appointment details. You will also receive this document via email. Keep it with you when visiting the passport service center along with your other documents.

Once you submit your renewal application at the passport service center, it will be processed in a few days. You can then pick up your new passport from the same center.

Application Fees

For the issue of a new passport or reissue of a passport with 36 pages and a validity of ten years (also applicable to minors aged fifteen to eighteen years):

Normal Fee:

• SAR 298.95 (36 Pages)
• SAR 390.95 (60 Pages)

Tatkaal Fee (inclusive of normal fee):

• SAR 850.95 (36 Pages)
• SAR 942.95 (60 Pages)

The fee is including Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF): SAR 8 and VFS Service Fee: SAR 13 +VAT.
