Saudi Arabia has introduced a new multiple-entry Umrah visa that allows pilgrims to visit the Kingdom multiple times within one year to perform Umrah.
The new visa, launched by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, is valid for 365 days from the date of issue. It allows multiple entries into Saudi Arabia during its validity period, with a maximum cumulative stay of 90 days.
The ministry clarified that the 90-day limit is calculated across all visits. Every day spent in Saudi Arabia is deducted from the available balance until the total 90-day allowance is used.
The initiative is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance services for pilgrims under Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program, making Umrah travel more flexible and convenient.
Service Package Required for Every Visit
Pilgrims must purchase a service package from an approved provider through the Nusuk platform before each visit.
The duration of the package must not exceed the number of remaining days available under the visa. Pilgrims must also comply with all regulations governing Umrah programs and services.
Umrah Permit Required Before Travel
Before travelling to Saudi Arabia, pilgrims must obtain an Umrah permit through the Nusuk app.
The permit dates must match the approved service package. Travellers must also meet all travel eligibility and entry requirements before arriving in the Kingdom.
How the First Visit Works
For the first visit, pilgrims must first purchase a service package through an approved provider on the Nusuk platform.
They can then apply for the multiple-entry Umrah visa and complete the required processing with the relevant authorities.
Before boarding the flight, travel eligibility will be verified. Upon arrival and departure, entry and exit records will be registered to calculate the remaining balance of the 90-day stay.
Rules for Future Visits
For every subsequent visit, visa holders must purchase a new approved service package and obtain a new Umrah permit through the Nusuk app before travelling.
Entry requirements and travel eligibility will be verified for each visit. After every departure from Saudi Arabia, the remaining balance of the 90-day stay will be updated automatically for future visits.
Not Valid During Hajj Season
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said the visa is not available for entry into Saudi Arabia during the Hajj season, from 1 Dhul-Qi’dah to 13 Dhul-Hijjah each year.
After each departure from the Kingdom, the visa remains inactive until the required procedures for the next visit—such as purchasing a new service package and obtaining an Umrah permit—are completed.
The ministry said the new multiple-entry Umrah visa gives pilgrims greater flexibility to plan repeated Umrah visits while supporting a smoother and more integrated digital pilgrimage experience through the Nusuk platform, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
