Why Update Your Email on Absher?

A current, active email ensures you don’t miss critical notifications about:

  • Iqama renewal reminders
  • Exit/re-entry visa status updates
  • Government service announcements
  • Password reset requests for security

If your email bounces or becomes inactive, you might miss important deadlines or services.

Step-by-Step Guide to Change Your Email on Absher

What you need:

  • Your Absher login credentials (Iqama number + password, or biometric login)
  • Access to your current email account (you may need to verify the old email)
  • A new email address ready to use

The process:

  1. Go to Absher: Visit https://absher.sa/ on your phone or computer.
  2. Log in: Use your Iqama number and password. You can also use biometric login if you’ve set it up.
  3. Open your profile: Look for your profile icon or photo in the top right corner and tap it.
  4. Find “Edit User Information”: Look for this option in the profile menu. The exact wording may vary slightly, but it’s usually labeled as “Edit Profile” or “Manage Account”.
  5. Click “Edit”: Next to your current email address, you should see an “Edit” button or pencil icon.
  6. Enter your new email: Clear the old email and type in your new email address carefully. Double-check for typos.
  7. Confirm the email: You’ll be asked to re-enter the new email to confirm it matches.
  8. Enter the image code (Captcha): This is the security code shown as an image. Type the characters exactly as they appear.
  9. Save: Click the “Save” or “Update” button.

What Happens After You Save?

Your email change takes effect immediately in most cases. However:

  • You may receive a confirmation email at your new address — open it and verify if prompted.
  • Some changes may take a few minutes to sync across the system.
  • If you made a mistake, you can go back and edit it again.

Troubleshooting: What If You Can’t Change Your Email?

The “Edit” button doesn’t appear: You may not have the right account permissions. Contact the Absher help center or visit your nearest service center.

You keep getting an error message: Make sure:

  • Your new email is valid (no spaces, correct spelling)
  • The email isn’t already registered on another Absher account
  • Your browser cookies are cleared, or try logging out and back in
  • You’ve entered the image code correctly

Important Security Tips

  • Use a personal email: Avoid shared or work email addresses if possible. Your Absher account is sensitive.
  • Keep it active: Don’t switch to an email you’re about to abandon. You may need to reset your password later.
  • Check spam folders: Absher emails sometimes land in spam. Add [email protected] (or similar) to your trusted contacts.
  • Secure your new email: Use a strong password and enable two-factor authentication on your email account.

Absher also lets you update your mobile number, address, and other personal information. These changes follow a similar process — just look for the “Edit” option next to the detail you want to change.

Keep your Absher profile current. The government uses this information to contact you about visas, labor matters, fines, and services. A wrong email or phone number can cause real problems.
