How to Use the Tawasul Service on Absher

The Tawasul service in the Absher platform is an electronic service that allows users to communicate with the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia. It enables individuals to submit requests through the Absher platform for tasks that cannot be completed electronically, especially when they encounter technical problems that prevent them from completing their transactions online.

This service makes it easier to handle issues with visas, residency permits, and similar services. Users can manage their affairs without going to the Jawazat offices in person. Here’s how to use the service.

How to Use Tawasul Service

  1. Log in to the applicant’s account on the Absher platform.
  2. Go to “My Services.”
  3. Choose “Services.”
  4. Select “Passports.”
  5. Select the “Tawasul Service.”
  6. Create a new request.
  7. Select the sector and related service.
  8. Complete the service requirements.
  9. Write a description of the request in the designated box and attach the required documents.
  10. Submit the request.

Please note the service is only available through the Absher platform website.

Processing Time

The processing time for a request submitted through the Tawasul service in Absher is typically up to 7 days. This means that once you send your message or inquiry, you can expect a response or action from the General Directorate of Passports within that timeframe.

Submission Tips

Keep in mind that the Tawasul Service can only be used by the account holder for their own issues or for those under their sponsorship. If you try to submit a request on behalf of someone else through your account, it will be rejected. Also, when attaching any files or screenshots, make sure they are under 1MB in size and in one of these formats: JPEG, JPG, PNG, or PDF.

For example, if you’re using the service to extend a visit visa, be sure to include all relevant details like the visa border number, visa number, and passport number. Clearly explain the issue by stating something like, “I am unable to renew my family visa due to this error, and I request a three-month extension for the visa.” This helps the authorities understand your request and act quickly.
