Saudi authorities are continuing inspections of shared worker accommodation across the Kingdom while urging residents to report violations through official channels to help improve compliance with health, safety and housing regulations.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing said violations can be reported through the Balady platform or by calling the unified hotline 940. Reports received through these official channels help inspection teams respond quickly and take the necessary legal action.
According to the ministry, ongoing field inspections are aimed at ensuring collective accommodation complies with health, safety and technical standards. The inspections also seek to reduce illegal practices that may affect the quality of residential neighbourhoods.
The ministry said regulating collective accommodation is part of the National Program for the Development of Collective Accommodation, which aims to improve worker housing, raise accommodation standards and provide safer, healthier and more sustainable living environments.
The program is being implemented in cooperation with other government agencies as part of Saudi Vision 2030, supporting efforts to improve quality of life and promote sustainable cities.
The ministry also reaffirmed that it will continue coordinating with relevant authorities and conducting field inspections, while encouraging residents to report any accommodation violations through the official Balady platform or by calling 940.
