How to Know If Your Iqama Is Issued and How to Find Your Iqama Number

If you are new to Saudi Arabia and waiting for your first Iqama, you can easily check whether it has been issued online. This guide explains a simple method to find your new Iqama number using your border number.

How to Check Your Iqama Issuance Status

To check your Iqama issuance status, you only need your border number. If you are unsure what a border number is or how to find it, you can refer to our detailed guide: How to Find Your Border Number

Start by visiting the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) service page at es.hrsd.gov.sa. You will first see a privacy notice in Arabic.

Tick the checkbox to accept the notice and click the green button to continue. Once the page loads, switch the language to English.

Enter your 10-digit border number in the first field. Then open the date selector and choose your date of birth using either calendar option.

How To Check If Your Iqama Has Been Issued Or Not Online

Next, enter the image code and click “Next.” The system will process your details and display your Iqama information if it has been issued.

If your Iqama number does not appear, it means the issuance is still in progress. You may need to check again after a few days.

Saudi regulations require employers to issue an Iqama within 90 days of an expatriate’s arrival. If the employer fails to do so, the worker is allowed to transfer to another employer.

This simple method helps you track your residency progress without needing an Absher account.
